General introduction of thermal fuse 10a 250v:

RH series ceramic thermal fuse has a certain range of temperature setting and bearing capacity to select. When the device is not working properly and will reach to the set max temperature, then the thermal fuse will cut off circuit to prevent security incidents arise.Thermal fuse mainly used in home appliances and electrical components (e.g. fan motor transformers, AC adopters, electric rice cooker ) overheating protector.

 Test method of thermal fuse 10a 250v :

   An indicator under current less than 10mA will be used for checking circuit continuity.

1 Rated function temperature(Tf):

   Put the samples into the professional oil oven, and remain 5 ~ 10 minutes under temperature Tf-20C. After that, increasing the temperature at the speed of 0.5~1K/min until the fuse cuts. The off temperature should be inside of tolerance.

2 Holding temperature (Th)

   Put the samples inside of an incubator and the applied voltage should be less than rated voltage, current applied at 10A. Then, maintain the samples for 168 hours under Th-6C. After that, the thermal fuse should not function or damaged.

3 Humidity test

   Put the samples inside a sealed room under temperature 40±2C,and relevant humidity 90%~95% for 48 hours. After that, repeat test 3.1

4 Heat impact test

Put samples inside of a fridge at -18C for 15 minutes, then take it out under room temperature for 5 minutes. After that, put the samples to an incubator at temperature Tf-20C for15 minutes. Then, take it out under room temperature 5 minutes again. Repeating the above tests for 3 weeks, then test the contact resistance of thermal fuse, the contact resistance between two leads should be less than 50mΩ.
